Acceptable Use Policy

Last updated: 2 August 2026

This Acceptable Use Policy (the "AUP") sets out what you may and may not do when you use Squeezle. It applies to every user and to every organization that uses the service. It is part of, and incorporated into, the Terms of Service. Capitalized terms not defined here have the meaning given in the Terms.

The goal is simple: use Squeezle for its intended purpose, connect only databases you are authorized to connect, respect other people's data, and do not attack or abuse the service. If you are not sure whether something is allowed, ask us first at legal@squeezle.app.

1. Connect only databases you are authorized to use

Squeezle lets you connect your own databases and run SQL against them. You are responsible for the databases you connect and the queries you run. You must:

  • Connect only databases that you own or are authorized by the owner to access.
  • Have all rights, consents, and lawful bases needed to access and process the data in those databases.
  • Not use Squeezle to access a database or data that you are not permitted to access.
  • Configure access controls, row limits, and column sensitivity so that people only see what they should.

2. No unlawful or infringing use

You may not use Squeezle to store, process, transmit, or share content or data that:

  • Is unlawful, fraudulent, defamatory, or otherwise violates the rights of others.
  • Infringes any intellectual property, privacy, or publicity right.
  • You are not legally permitted to process, or that you have collected in violation of applicable law.
  • Constitutes special categories of personal data or other highly regulated data, except where you have a lawful basis and appropriate safeguards in place.

3. No attacks on the service or others

You may not, and may not attempt to:

  • Probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the service, or breach any security or authentication measure, without our prior written permission.
  • Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the service, for example through denial-of-service traffic or resource-exhausting queries designed to degrade the platform.
  • Introduce malware, or use the service to distribute malware or launch attacks against third parties.
  • Use the service to send spam, phishing, or other unsolicited or deceptive messages.

Good-faith security research is welcome. If you believe you have found a vulnerability, report it to security@squeezle.app rather than exploiting it, and give us a reasonable time to respond.

4. Respect tenant isolation and access controls

Squeezle is multi-tenant, and each organization's data is logically separated from every other organization. You may not:

  • Attempt to access another organization's data, connections, queries, results, or settings.
  • Circumvent, disable, or interfere with tenant isolation, access controls, row limits, column sensitivity rules, or sharing controls.
  • Access accounts, connections, or shared links that were not intended for you, or share credentials or share links in a way that defeats their access controls.
  • Misrepresent your identity or affiliation, or use another person's account without authorization.

5. Fair use of AI, the API, and automation

Squeezle offers AI assistance and a programmatic API. When you use them, you must:

  • Not scrape, crawl, or harvest the service or other organizations' data through automated means beyond the documented API.
  • Not use the AI features to generate unlawful, abusive, or infringing content, or to attempt to extract other tenants' data.
  • Respect published rate limits and plan entitlements, and not use technical means to exceed or evade them.
  • Keep API tokens and credentials confidential, and not share them outside your organization.
  • Comply with the applicable AI provider's terms when you use a bring-your-own-key configuration.

6. No abuse of shared resources

Squeezle runs on shared infrastructure. You may not use the service in a way that places an unreasonable or disproportionate load on the platform, that is designed to circumvent usage limits, or that resells or provides the service to third parties except as expressly permitted in the Terms.

7. Enforcement

If we reasonably believe you have violated this AUP, we may take action proportionate to the violation, including:

  • Removing or disabling access to offending content or connections.
  • Throttling, suspending, or terminating access to the service, as described in the Terms.
  • Notifying and cooperating with law enforcement where required by law.

Where practical and lawful, we will give you notice and an opportunity to remedy the violation, but we may act immediately where there is a risk of harm to the service, to other customers, or to third parties.

8. Contact

Questions about this policy, or reports of abuse, can be sent to legal@squeezle.app. Security reports should go to security@squeezle.app.
